Healing through Remote Sensing

Prof. Saradindu Sengupta, professor of Exploration Geophysics, IIT, Kharagpur, who had been with ISRO as Director of Regional Remote Sensing Centre, throws light on the basics of ‘Remote Sensing’ and the usage of ‘Satellite Pictures for Mapping Various Features on Earth’ and speaks about ‘Environment Protection by Preserving the Nature and Waterbodies’.

Rustic Melodies

The diversity and richness of our culture is rendered beautifully through folk songs. The soulful songs of Ms Ridhdhi Gayen, Ms Hemasri Saha, Mr Suprabhat and Mr Pratyush Phagun bring to you the flavours of Bengal, Rajasthan, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.

Nuances of Photography

Dr Debasish Basu, a dermatologist by profession, talks about ‘The Delight of Manual Photography’. He explains the beauty of composing a photograph and also the transition from black and white to colour photos that surfaced in Kolkata in the 19th & 20th century.
