Support Elders at the National Seminar on Ageing Well

The Department of Sociology, University of Calcutta hosted a two-day seminar on ‘Ageing Well: Moving Ahead for a Resilient Society,’ funded by the National Institute of Social Defence. The attention was on smart solutions for elder well-being, emphasising the need for technology-driven, proactive care systems that aid positive ageing. Mr Supratik Gupta, CSO, Support Elders, highlighted IoT devices and predictive models in eldercare, focusing on real-time health monitoring, emotion detection, and technology-backed assessments for independent living.
