Our Great Gujarat Adventure

Spring is our last chance to enjoy travelling before the scorching sun sends us indoors. In late February, nine of our elders, accompanied by two members of staff, set out on a memorable journey across Gujarat. We began in Ahmedabad with a visit to Sabarmati Ashram, where the peaceful banks of the river still reverberate with the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. The group then travelled west to visit the revered Dwarkadhish Temple and the Somnath Temple where our members enjoyed the light-and-sound show, undoubtedly the highlight of the trip. On our return to Ahmedabad, the group enjoyed a safari through Gir National Park, where we managed to spot the Asiatic lion.
It was a rare treat: spirituality, history, and nature wrapped up in one wholesome trip. At Support Elders, we ensure our trips are curated thoughtfully, just like our care.
