Day outings
The day outings were a delightful ray of light for all the members, who were absolutely thrilled to be out of their homes and keen to meet new people and old friends. Away from home in a tranquil rural setting, life seemed to be blissful for all.Falta Trip
On 4th May 2022, we took our members to Falta, allowing a glimpse of the beautiful Swaminarayan temple, on the way to a resort, built on the banks of River Ganga. Breakfast was taken en route Falta. The serenity and peace of the riverside with the cargo ships going by and a beautiful, shaded place for sitting and dining was instantly liked by all. It was heartwarming to see how much they enjoyed—the air was filled with their excited conversations and laughter. Lunch was a splendid affair, which had veg. and non veg. options, and included rice, dal, fries, veg curry, with an option of 2 types of fish, chicken and mutton, all served in style, along with chutney, papad and sweet dish. It was appetizing and appealing to everyone.
Kolaghat Trip
On 9th June’22, we took our members to Kolaghat. It was a beautiful drive via Uluberia, Bagnan and Naupal to Kolaghat. While crossing the river Hooghly everyone witnessed the serene flow of the river water which was a spectacular sight. The resort at Kolaghat was by the Rupnarayan river, which was beautiful, comfortable and cosy for our members to sit and talk. At the buffet counter a variety of dishes were served for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast comprised of idli-sambar, upma, poha and puri. Lunch was a traditional Bengali spread. It all winded up with a post lunch game session, involving all the members. They all had a comfortable journey and were back home with the joy of a day well-spent.
